Another adventure game coming from WadjetEye Games called Primordia which is set to be a success in the field. Surely a game that will have a top position in my list of great point & click adventure games. Primordia, developed by Wormwood Studios takes us in the future where the legendary man walked the planet and left the robots on this desolated planet to maintain it while the main character is waiting for the day that Man returns and formats the robots which have diverted from their given mission. The game is fantastic and with the good balance of sarcasm, jokes, great detail of drawings and the fantastic soundtrack... I can’t wait for the game to be released this December and hope it will be a rainy and dark day so I am stuck at home playing this great adventure game.
You play the main character named Horatio which is a solitary lone-engineering robot which is against the thoughts of his handmade friend named Crispin. Crispin is all about going to the city of Metropol where the light are fantastic and free energy to all; along with sarcasm while Horatio is more conservative to his freedom and independence.
While playing the demo you will have the power source of the ship you are maintaining called UNNIIC stolen by a mean robot with brute force. You are forced then to walk the waste lands to find a new power source before running out and not getting the tentative thought of going to Metropol while unveiling Horatio’s mysterious background.
The game is art in the sense that all environments and in-game graphics are all hand-drawn. Thou the resolution isn’t much for this-age game expectations, the game is superb in its kind. It’s like you’re playing a never-seen aspect of Blade Runner. The idea and the story-line are perfect and the sarcastic fights between Horatio and Crispin, give that touch of comedy to the game. The story is solid and so is the music behind it; it’s like listening to a mix of Star Wars and Blade Runner. The difficulty and puzzle of the game are quite balanced and constructive.
As from the preview build we played, the game is very promising and I hope we have a time machine or something to head to the release that i.e. 5th December. Till then, we have to suffer. If possible 4 thumbs up!
