The fat arse of the law is back for the second epsidoe with a touch of British humour and a slice of pizza
8/10
The second installment in the hilarious Hector's Badge of Carnage by Straandlooper is out and by now we know that the Senseless Acts Of Justice will get you up in the humorous and adult-oriented point and click adventure mood quite quickly.
Let's hit the pub! You start off with a quick flashback summary from the first episode's intro along withe all the happenings on doing the criminal's demands and the episode ending where Hector enters the building where the perp is with two boxes of pizza to discover that the perp is not human and its a sniper rifle controlled by a computer, ballbags! Your first duty is to get out of the room and the first part being the tutorial is quite funny epecially when Hector start fighting with the narrating text on the screen with Hector ending with "Can we stop this bloody tutorial!", hehe nice touch.
The story is quite interesting and after playing it through, this episode was quite longer than the first episode, and to a certain extent more fullfilling as it involves you more in the story. The game offers a good variey of locations and a lot more puzzle and make more sense than the first episode, which will surely get you cranky. The comedy is hilarious and in fact much better than the first episode, and Hector and his british accent will let the good times roll. As the comedy, yep this episode is more adult humour than the first one and is quite balanced with the storyline without feeling stale or boring. The story is picking up nicely and can't wait to see what's in plan for the last episode.
For the newcomers, the control and interface of the game are quite simplified being the fact that it was originally an iPhone game. You have the inventory on the bottom of the screen, the map and hint system there as well. To interact with the object around you, just click on them to look at them and double click to pick them up. To combine two objects you simple click on one and on the other. Also you can use the double click to use items and talk to people around you. As you can see the interface is quite easy to use.
The graphics are in 2D and in a cartoonish style having the style of Puzzle Agent as it regards to movement and surrounding, but a bit more colourful and with more animation. As it regards to sound effect and soundtrack, the game performs quite well and very good. The voice acting is good being the fact that they are all done by Richard Moss who is also the producer of the game.
Conclusion
The season in all is coming out nicely and building up well since this episode is much more better in comedy, puzzles, story and a longer gameplay.
