Over three years later and now an add-on? So the big question is why, and is it worth it?

Screens of the new add-on
High Stakes poker made it's first appearance on the PS3 back in 2007 and was available as a download over the PlayStation Store from Coresoft, being the first online poker game to come to the next gen-console. While the game had decent gameplay it didn't really offer anymore than that, you could say a no-frills poker game at best.
Over three years later and now an add-on? So the big question is why, and is it worth it?
After a quick look through the game you'll find they've added 30 trophies to the mix, this means you can show them poker skills off not only to your PS friends but everyone else on the PSN. Additionally the game now boast an extra eight languages to the US edition making it a more global release, allowing you to select games by language and region.
Some other nice additions are the new game modes included such as, Deuce to Seven Triple Draw, Double-Flop Hold'em, Five-Card Triple Draw, and Five-Card Stud, this adds an additional 15 trophies up for grabs.
Regardless of whether you are a fan of poker or not this game is still worth a look with the add-on, and definitely worth the extra cash. If you don't have the original and fancy a go it's only USD 13 including the add-on, so what's stopping you? Need some tips for your A-game? Check out the texasholdem page.
