Newest version of Torque Game Builder released

GarageGames, the leading technology provider for independent game developers, announced the release of Torque Game Builder (TGB) version 1.7. The new release features improved editors for modifying link points and collision polygons, as well as other usability improvements.

The link point and collision polygon editor improvements are a great example of how a small change can improve the usability of a product and provide a more consistent user experience, commented Lead Developer Dan Maruschak.

Other changes include new methods for dealing with scene objects and a new editor for creating vector objects.

This latest update to the TGB engine follows the release of version 1.6 on December 14, which introduced a host of bug fixes and improvements. Additionally, for developers looking to create 2D console games, the engines available to those who license Torque 360 (for use on Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Live Arcade) and Torque for Wii (for use on the Nintendo Wii and WiiWare) now include the 2D functionality of Torque Game Builder.
