Windows 10 free, VR and DirectX 12

Microsoft’s next Operating system release will be free to every Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and Mobile owners. This comes at a surprise from the presentation event that Microsoft organised. Adding to this, Microsoft are also releasing their virtual reality headset called Hololens. Thou from the name it is says Holo meaning hologram, it augments reality and does not project holograms. The effect it does is really cool when shown off the opportunities and the ideas on how this thing can be used. Unlike Google Glass which shows a small projection in front of your eyes and other similar products, Hololens augments everything around you promising a new world in gaming, pleasure and even business applications of the device.

More into this, thou to me I prefer Windows life without the Start interface, the Start button and it’s Windows 7-like features will be back and Microsoft are removing the Metro screen integrating it on the Start button. Also they will be introducing Cortana which is a Siri-like which will be integrated into Windows and it will learn and predict stuff for you. Kinky, thou I have to download the latest Technical preview to test it out a bit. DirectX 12 will be included also in this new release which will not be supported by Windows 7. Microsoft are promising a better gaming experience with Windows 10.

Windows 10 will also feature a new browser experience. This browser is codenamed Spartan. Thou Windows will be shipped with Internet Explorer aside Spartan, Microsoft did add any comments on the faith of the Internet Explorer.

I guess we should expect Windows 10 to be released this October, until then enjoy the technical preview for whoever wants to try it out at home or at the office.
