Eminence?s Destiny Reunion quintet is heading to Melbourne for the final performance in its hugely successful concert tour. Fans at concerts in Yokohama, Japan, at Otakon – the world?s largest anime convention in Balitmore USA and back home in Sydney Australia have all enthusiastically embraced the unique concert program which was specially orchestrated for the quintet by famous video game music composers Yasunori Mitsuda and Hitoshi Sakimoto.
Yasunori Mitsuda is known for his compositions for Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Xenogears and Xenosaga Episode I, whereas Hitoshi Sakimoto is known for his compositions for Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy XII and the recently released anime Romeo X Juliet.
?We are really pleased to be closing our concert tour in Melbourne. We wanted to make Melbourne the last stop for our tour as a way of thanking all the fabulous Melbourne fans who made the A Night in Fantasia 2007: Symphonic Games Edition? concert such a huge success,? commented Hiro Yura, founder of Eminence Symphony Orchestra and renowned violin virtuoso.
?We hope that our fan base in Melbourne enjoy the Destiny Reunion tour and appreciate the way in which it present key titles from video games and anime in a very different, refreshing manner.?
The Melbourne audience can expect to be treated to a comprehensive playlist which will include select pieces from Studio Gonzo’s ‘Romeo x Juliet’, composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, Mitsuda?s ?Time’s Scar’ from the PlayStation title ‘Chrono Cross’ as well as new arrangements from Mitsuda?s ‘Rakugaki Kingdom 2’ and ‘Tsugunai’.
All of pieces played by the Destiny Reunion quintet have been arranged exclusively for this concert series and will not be heard at any other Eminence performance. The tour is a multi-production which has been created with the additional support and assistance of the composers’ companies, Procyon Studio and Basiscape.
Tickets are limited for this tour – so fans of Eminence?s previous ?Destiny? performances should make sure they don?t miss out!
