Just Cause

Just cause? the rebel without a cause but with a mission. Grand Theft auto has met her rival as Just Cause makes her way in the market. In this 3rd person game you play the part of Rico Rodriguez, an undercover CIA agent specializing in regime change. The game takes us to the South American island of San Esperito. This island is suspected to stock WMD?s and its mission is to negate the threat of world peace.

In other words, in Just cause your primary mission is to create a revolution, defeat corruption, fight for justice and lead a nation to freedom in an open ended world where everything is possible. Your team is well equipped while Sheldon give you mission debriefing, and Kane (A very lovely lady) will give you a hand in weaponry and tactics. These two are two top secret US government agency field operatives, which will provide you with reconnaissance info, extraction and vehicle drops.

Just Cause offers the freedom to challenge your missions however you can play the island’s factions off against one another, incite a rebellion among the masses or build alliances with rebel forces and drug cartels. The incredibly graphically detailed game world consists of 1,225 sq. miles of mountains, jungles, beaches, cities and villages which can be explored by land, sea and air. And you will have at your disposal one of the most varied and exciting array of vehicles, planes and watercraft ever seen in a video game.

The game featuring intense air, land and sea stunts, Just Cause brings you never before seen extremes allowing you to do crazy stunts like pulling a parachute while traveling at top speed on your motorcycle, jumping from planes to helicopters to boats, or driving off a cliff just to set yourself up for a stylish freefall.

This can all happen with the 89 air, sea and land vehicles at your disposal. You have the freedom to free roam and explore the massive world of San Esperito or tackle your assignments however you want. In just cause you have a total freedom of movement and medium. All the cars, bike, boats, helicopters and planes are available to you and of course? a parachute which you can use always. Just cause offers the user many combinations of the game with tricks, like jumping off a car and hijacking another passing car. There are so many combinations that it?s best for you to discover them and enjoy the perfectly performed stunts. The stunts include jumping from one vehicle to another, skydiving, base jump, parasail and more.

Christofer Sundberg, director at Avalanche Studios comments that?s Our overall vision for Just Cause is to create a realistic game world where players can unleash their creativity in order to bring down a regime using any means possible. We want to provide the player with close to endless opportunities to play missions, explore the world and perform stunts using land, sea and air transport.

As regarding graphics one must literally get down on his knees and open his eyes very wide. The Avalanche Engine, as they call it is procedurally generated landscape which delivers a huge game world with an incredibly high level of detail while eliminating loading times. Like this you will not have any problems while running with a car and all of a sudden the game stops because it?s loading another part of the map.

?It?s one of the largest worlds ever seen in a video game, and the level of detail from either 10,000 ft or 1ft away is breath-taking, so we?re looking forward to see what our customers think of it,? said Dave Clark, European Marketing Director.

If you are looking for a pumping action game with the south American James Bond? then this is the game for you. LucidLAN.com recommends Just Cause with a score of 9/10
