Super Paper Mario Wii review

In this version of Super Mario… we leave the real world and change everything to the flat world of 2D. Super Paper Mario mixes the role-playing game style adventure with the classic action of yesterday's Mario getting the best of the two dimensions.

The 2D to 3D feature is great to get more coins, and discover certain secrets and of course to go through difficult places and locked places. The Majority of the game is played with the Wii Remote held sidways using the control pad and the two button on the bottom… however the Butterfly is of great help to find magical invisible doors with the wand by changing the position of the Wii-mote and move it vertically while pointing to the place where you want to discover. Remember to not stay long in the 3D world because after some time… you will start to loose some health.

Once you get the star, prepare for some Godzilla style action as from the little super hero Mario, you become the 12 storey pixel Mario terrorizing and destroying everything in your path.

At first the player will be able to play with Mario… but as time passes and levels are passed, the player will be able to control Princess Peach, Bowser and Luigi as well. Each character has it's unique abilities which will allow the user to overcome different puzzles and obstacles. Mario will also get another helping hand from his small sidekicks aka Pixls, which will aid the player with each Pixl haxing it's own ability.

The only drawback is the long dialects. Especially in the intro, there is almost 10 minutes of dialect and the user will not be able to skip it… but after starting chapter 1… the wheel of enjoyment turns and the Super Mario action starts pumping. After talking to Merlon's friend… you will get the power of 3D transition which will enable the hero i.e. you… to change from the 2D world to 3D world! Super Mario Paper will surely test your skills while bending, twisting and flips the threads of reality.
